ECR Report Warns of EU 'No-Go Zones' Fueled by Mass Immigration, Islamization

A new report backed by prominent European conservative lawmakers is raising a stark alarm over the spread of what it terms 'no-go zones' across the European Union. The study, presented by Sweden Democrats MEP Charlie Weimers, French nationalist MEP Marion Maréchal, and Brothers of Italy MEP Nicola Procaccini, directly links the phenomenon to mass immigration, Islamization, and a critical breakdown of state authority in major urban centers. Published by the New Direction foundation, which is tied to the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) parliamentary group, the report contends that large parts of Europe are witnessing the rise of 'parallel societies where the laws of the State are increasingly replaced by the codes of radicalisation and the rule of violence.'

Maréchal emphasized that the findings show the trend is 'no myth,' citing France's official designation of 751 sensitive urban zones and 1,362 priority neighborhoods as evidence of the scale. The report frames these areas as spaces where police and state services face severe operational challenges, and where local populations may live under different social and legal norms. The lawmakers' presentation positions this as a direct consequence of decades of immigration policy and a failure of integration.
