Turnstile Guitarist Brady Ebert Charged With Attempted Murder After Allegedly Running Over Bandmate's Father

Brady Ebert, a founding guitarist of the hardcore band Turnstile, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. The charge stems from an incident in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he is accused of intentionally striking 79-year-old William Yates—the father of his former bandmate, Brendan Yates—with a car. According to charging documents, police responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit at a residential address, with family members identifying the driver as a "neighbor and past friend of the family."

The victim's daughter provided a detailed account to authorities. She alleges that Ebert first pulled up to the home, honked his horn, and yelled obscenities at her and her family before leaving the scene. He then allegedly returned shortly after, at which point she says he accelerated his vehicle, drove onto the sidewalk, and struck her father. William Yates was reportedly thrown into the air and landed on the vehicle's windshield before falling to the ground. The charging documents state the act was intentional.
