Joe Eckardt, owner of post-production company Unbreakable Post, filed suit claiming he was systematically denied work after refusing to pay kickbacks to an Amazon employee. Eckardt estimates he lost approximately $1 million in contracts starting in 2023, according to the complaint.

Eckardt alleges he was pressured to pay kickbacks as a condition of receiving assignments from Amazon Studios. After refusing to participate in the arrangement, the vendor claims he was effectively frozen out of projects he had previously worked on, including productions such as "Temptation."
